Nyx Highlight & Contour Pro Palette

Hey everyone!

Hope ya'll had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!  Ours was great!  We kept it low key with just my immediate family.  But we always have a good time.  My family is everything to me.  The hubby and I also just got back from Disney.  I miss it already!  We just love Disney!

I've also been loving the new Highlight & Contour Pro Palette from Nyx Cosmetics.

I haven't tried any other contour palette....yet.  Key word there.  There are a few on my list.  But for the low price of $24.99, you can't beat this palette.  I personally think any skin tone can use this palette.  The pigmentation in these shades is awesome.  Even in those highlight shades.

Benefit's Roller Lash Mascara

Hey everyone!

So I'm sure you've heard all about Benefit's Roller Lash Mascara.  It's been out for a good while now.  I myself have been using it for about a month now.  So I've gotten a good idea on how much I like it.  I wouldn't say I love it, but I like it.  To me it's one of those good everyday mascaras.  And I can skip curling my lashes.  Anyway to make my morning makeup routine easier is a plus for me.  With all that said, let's look at some before and afters.

These 2 photos are before I applied it.  Nothing on my lashes at all.

Woo!  That last one is a "in yo face" photo.  LOL!  No edits on these by the way.  You may as well know my true selfie ;)

And here are the afters

I can definitely see a nice curl in my lashes.  Super impressive!  My only complaint is that is can get a little on the clumpy side.  But that's nothing a good comb through can't fix.  You'll see in my video below how I fixed that problem with my Real Techniques Lash/Brow Groomer.  And just as a little side note, this mascara, as any non waterproof, smudged when I used it on my bottom lashes.  That was expected though.

So, to sum it up, I like the mascara.  Don't know if I would repurchase it.  There are so many fun mascara's out there that I haven't tried yet.  And I can't say it's an absolute favorite like my Mally Volumizing mascara or my It Cosmetics Tightline Waterproof mascara, just to name a few.  I will always repurchase those.  But, again, I like it.  So we'll see.  I do think anyone should give it a go though.

CVS Haul!

Hey everyone!  What are ya'll up to on this wild Friday night?!  I'm uploading videos and writing blogs!  Woop Woop!!  LOL!

Seriously though, it's been one heck of a week for me.  We took in a little kitty in hopes to possibly keep him, but my 6 yr old fur baby Bella was not having it.  She's always been a temperamental kitty.  She has some siamese in her too.  But she just completely snubbed us and wouldn't come out of our bedroom.  To make this long story short, we found the little kitten a good home.  I won't bore you with all the little details of the week, but I'm just glad it's all over.  Bella is still not coming to the front of the house.  She'll come check things out, but then she'll walk back to the back of the house to our bedroom.  She'll come around soon I'm sure.

So now I'm relaxing on my couch with a glass of wine by my side and the television turned on to QVC, of course, while I blog.  My blogging and videos always make me feel comfortable.  It's all a fun hobby for me and just puts me in this happy place of makeup, beauty and fashion.  All of my favorite things.  *sigh*

Ok.  On to my haul!  As I've said before, I love hauls.  I love watching them, filming them and shopping for them ;)  So of course I wanted to share with you my trip to CVS.  I actually shopped and filmed this about 2 wks ago.  I apologize for the delay.  I was sick last week when I wanted to post this and just didn't have it in me.  Then the kitty situation happen and well.........

Cozy Cool Sweater

Hey everyone!

I love a good cozy sweater.  Anything cozy for that matter.  This particular sweater/cardigan has been my absolute favorite since last year.  I find myself grabbing for it as soon as the weather turns cold.

It's just so warm and comfortable.  I LOVE the high/low effect of this sweater.  And you can pair it with just about anything.  I'm just sporting a simple white tee with it here.  But it would be super cute with a pop of color.  I added my hunter green large Selma studded Michael Kors.

The back of this sweater is so cute!  I'm a huge leopard print lover.  But this added the perfect touch to make this sweater a bit more edgy.

Pair it with some edgy tall boots or booties, skinny jeans, leggings or jeggings and you've got a super cute, comfy and chic look.  Bella thought so too ;)

November 2014 Favorites!!

Hey everyone!

It is waaaaay past my bedtime!  So if this blog seems to make no sense at all, you'll know why.  tehe! JK!  I'm tired, but I'm good.

QVC Haul

Hey everyone!

I'm really late with this haul.  But I wanted to share with you anyway.  I absolutely love QVC!  I like to watch in the morning while I get ready for work.  Then there's Tuesday Night Beauty!  Friday Night Beauty!  Shoe Shopping with Jane!  The annual Ffany Shoes on Sale event!  And of course the TSV!  But let's not forget the Easy Pay options.  Easy Pay allows you to get that product that may be a bit more than you want to pay all at once.  Besides all that, it really is easy shopping.  I've done most of my Christmas shopping this year through QVC.

Marinated Cheese

Hey everyone!  So with the holidays here, we all like to gather together with our friends and family and eat some good food.  Right?  That's what the holidays is all about!  I thought I would share with ya'll this recipe for marinated cheese that I have been making for parties for years.  It's always a hit.  Who doesn't like cheese??

This particular recipe comes from the October 2006 issue of Southern Living.

Here are the ingredients you will need......

1 (0.7 oz) envelope Italian dressing mix

1/2 cup olive oil (or vegetable)

1/4 cup white vinegar

2 Tbsp minced green onion (I use 2 average size stalks)

2 Tbsp water

1 1/2 tsp sugar

1 (8 oz) block Monterey Jack cheese, chilled
1 (8 oz) block Cheddar cheese, chilled
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, chilled

1 (4 oz) jar chopped pimiento, drained
Assorted crackers



Whisk together the first 6 ingredients and set aside.

Cut the Monterey Jack cheese in half lengthwise.

Then cut each half crosswise into 1/4 inch thick slices.

Repeat those same steps with the Cheddar cheese and the cream cheese.

Arrange the cheese in 4 rows in a shallow 2 qt baking dish, alternating the cheese.  ( I used a deep Ziplock container for the marinating process, but it was narrow so it works just as well as if you would use a shallow baking dish)

Pour the marinade over the cheese.

Cover and chill at least 8 hours.

When you're ready to serve it, carefully move your marinated cheese to your serving dish.  For extra flavor, I use a fork to grab all the green onions out the marinade and sprinkle them over the cheese.  I also drizzle a bit of the oil over the cheese too.

Then you drain your pimiento and sprinkle them over the cheese as well.

Serve with some assorted crackers of your choice and enjoy!

Such a simple and yummy dish to bring to any party for any occasion.

Younique Moonstruck 3D Fiber Lash

Hey again!  Just wanted to drop a little line about this new mascara that I recently discovered.  It's the 3D Fiber Lash by Younique.  And I am in LOVE!!  I am already a mascara lover.  Well, this stuff just blew me away!  Check out this little before and after....

Crazy right!!??  It gives you the look of false lashes without the fuss!  AND..... it's so much better for your lashes!  So many good ingredients.  It comes in a little eye glass looking case.  And the fibers and the transplanting gel are in separate tubes.  The price is $29.

I can't so enough good things about this product.  I've worn it for a little over a week now and I haven't experienced any of the fibers falling out during the day.  That I've noticed anyway.  But I love it so much, I decided to host an online party of my own.  All I get out of this party is credit towards more mascara!  LOL!  No one paid me to review this product and I bought it with my own money from a friends online party.  If you are interested, you can get your very own mascara here.  You can also check out my video below for more info about the mascara as well as a demo.

Simple Fall Look

New Video: Empties!!

Hey everyone!  Happy Friday!  So glad the weekend is finally here.  It's been a looong week for me.

And speaking of long, tehe, my new video is the longest of any of my videos.  I apologize about that. I let my empties basket fill up & over.  I promise I won't let that happen again.

But, if you're like me, the longer the better ;)  I love watching empties videos.  I'm always sad when they're over.  LOL!  I just enjoy seeing what other bloggers are using and what they think about them.
