How I cover my Blemishes

Hello everyone!

Let me start this post by saying, there is no correct way to cover blemishes.  We all find our own ways to get the job done.  Another words, whatever works best for you.  Some products may work better on you than it does on others.  And vice versa.  But sometimes we like to get advice from others.  I know I do.  I'll take all those opinions and kinda create my own.  If you know what I mean.  Another words, I may like that product this person uses, but not the way they apply it.  So I come up with my own way of applying it.  "What works best for me."

So, with that said, I thought I would share with ya'll how I personally like to cover my blemishes.  I don't do this everyday.  I do have acne prone skin, but it's pretty much under control for the most part.  I do, however, occasionally get those painful under the skin cystic acne.  And they like to get red and angry looking.  When that happens, I do a few different things to my everyday makeup routine.  My technique is a little different and I like to use certain products and tools to help cover my problem area/areas.

I will say that I think the right tools are a big help.  The It Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Dual Airbrush Foundation/Concealer Brush is my absolute favorite tool.  I use the larger end to blend out my under eye concealer, and the smaller end for covering up blemishes.  I get a perfect blend every time.  I just wanted to quickly mention that.  I highly recommend this brush.

I also add a few acne treating products to my regimes.  After my toner, I use Murad Acne Clearing Solution all over my face, neck and chest.  This is actually in my usual routine.  It has retinol in it as well as acne fighting ingredients.  I only use this at night cause it gets a little too harsh for my skin if I use it more.  After I apply my night time moisturizer, I spot treat with Mario Badescu Drying Mask and leave it on overnight.  In the morning my acne doesn't appear to be so angry.  LOL!  I only add one product to my morning routine.  After I use my toner, I spot treat with Mary Kay Acne Treatment Gel.  I find this isn't harsh on my skin and it effectively dries up my blemishes.  It can get over drying so just be careful with that one.  Once that's dry, I continue with my normal routine.

I'll stop here cause you'll see exactly what I'm talking about in the video below.  I hope this is helpful for anyone out there.  Maybe you can find a little piece of advice that may be helpful for you ;)

Till next time!

Lots of Love,
Aimee Lou
