Mary Kay @ Play

Hey Ya'll!  And welcome back to my blog!

Today I wanted to talk about the new Mary Kay line called Mary Kay @ Play.  It's a super cute line and I couldn't wait to get my paws on them.  It looks like it could be geared more towards teens, but anyone can wear it.  I've already played with a few colors and I'm well into my 30's.  But we're not gonna talk about that.  tehe!

Let's get on to the real fun!

From left to right:  On the Horizon, Earth Bound, Tuxedo, Ocean View

These cuties are the Baked Eye Trio.  I just love the @ symbol on the packaging.  The texture on these are buttery to the touch.  And they swatched really well.  They all have some shimmer to them, but no fall out.  So far I've tried On the Horizon and Ocean View.  I can't wait to try Earth Bound!  Love that forest green!  Below are some swatches.

The first three swatches are the On the Horizon trio.  Followed by the Earth Bound trio.

The first three swatches are the Tuxedo trio.  Followed by the Ocean View trio.

Here's a couple of shots of me wearing On the Horizon.  Also, I'm wearing Violet Love Lip Crayon topped with Crushed Plum Jelly Lip Gloss.  I'll get to those in a few.

And here's one of Ocean View.  Again, I'm also wearing Toasted Lip Crayon on my lips topped with Teddy Bare Jelly Lip Gloss, which I'll get to.

Next in this line are the Eye Crayons.

From top to bottom:  Gold Mine, Purple Smoke, In the Navy, Green Tea

Again, love the @ symbol!  These can be used as a thicker liner or all over the lid to make your shadow more vibrant.  They are very creamy and glide on smooth.  These do require sharpening though.  You'll need a jumbo pencil sharpener.  Here's a shot of me wearing In the Navy as my top eyeliner.

Staying in the crayon family, we have the Lip Crayons.

From top to bottom:  Perfect Pink, Candied Apple, Violet Love, Toasted

My personal favorite part of putting on make up are the lips.  Love playing with lipsticks, glosses, etc.  These went on like a lipstick, but in a pencil form.  So you can use them any way you like.  To line your lips, or fill them in.  They have just a hint of a shine, as you can see in my swatches, so I wouldn't call them matte.

But you can add some extra shine with these Jelly Lip Glosses.

From top to bottom:  Berry Me, Hot Tamale, Crushed Plum, Teddy Bare

I think these are my favorite in the line.  Cause like I said earlier, I love playing with lip products.  And these are so much fun.  These are truly jelly like.  They do have some tackiness to them, but I personally like the tackiness.  It helps them stay put.  These, as well as the Lip Crayons, are not long wearing.  But I still love them!  Here's a shot of them sheered out.

I just love that Teddy Bare.  It's the perfect nude.

That's it for the Mary Kay @ Play line.  I hope you enjoyed this post.  Contact your Mary Kay consultant if you want to pick up a few of these products.  Or, of course, you can order them directly from my website.  www.marykay.com/adupepe  You can also check out my YouTube video to see more on these products.
